Support Fair Tax in Vancouver

Vancouver’s commercial properties account for a sixth of the total assessed value, consume less than a third of total city services, yet pay almost half the municipal property tax burden. This is unacceptable and unsustainable.

Thanks to a vigorous campaign by the Vancouver Fair Tax Coalition and the support of many business organizations and investors, over the past five years the coalition has achieved success in advocating for a more fair and equitable distribution of property taxes.

Although the coalition has accomplished a lot, we still have a long campaign ahead and need support from the business community.

Help the VFTC achieve a permanent, long-term policy for the fair and equitable distribution of property taxes in Vancouver, based upon the benefits received by each class.
